Water Supply Wells

When a fuel oil spill or other environmental hazard contaminates drinking water wells we undertake a site assessment to determine the extent of the problem, then design a site-specific remediation plan, working with local authorities and hydrogeologists. In the case of bedrock aquifers compromised by a fuel spill, we use liquid phase hydrocarbon (LPH) recovery and enhanced in situ bioremediation with oxidation techniques. Wells are monitored for recovery during and after remediation.

We consult and advise beyond fuel oil contamination for issues such as:

  • Contamination of a well by a fire
  • Water quantity or quality issues
  • Ground water pumping tests
  • Water well design
  • Well head protection
